A registrant change for a .it domain is free starting 1st Jan 2011, it does not change the expire date; only the variation of services linked to the domain will be charged, if a variation is requested.
How to change the registrant of a .it domain
To request a change of registrant you must submit a transfer order with the auth code of the domain from the destination account, you need to select the new registrant on the order form. If you do not have to transfer the domain to another account you must send the transfer order from your account.
The current registrant will receive an authorization request by e-mail, the transfer will be concluded after its approval.
Note:
The configuration of the DNS records on our nameservers will remain unchanged but the system will apply the nameservers settings of the order.
Leaving the nameservers fields blank will cause to set the gidinet nameservers for the domain, otherwise the nameservers specified on the order form will be used.
If you're using your nameservers you will need to re-write them on the order form to prevent them being changed.
